I WISH YOU GOODNIGHT
I watch you as you glow,
a star you shine so bright.
I watch you each evening,
your beauty so bright.
Just before going to bed,
I go to my window and stare.
I say my bedtime prayers,
and tell you how much I care.
I tell you that I love you,
and would hold you so tight.
I lie down to sleep now,
and keep you in sight.
I start to drift off slowly,
and watch your fading light.
My last words before dreamland,
