Who wants to be a millionaire, hosted by su_phu
A. Introduction
Who wants to be a millionaire is a new quiz show in ESE room hosted by su_phu.
B. General rules
a) Any ESE member will have a chance to be a contestant by undergoing a preliminary round, called "Fastest Finger". In this round, all members are given the same question. Who has the correct answer in the fastest time will be invited to sit in the "hot seat" and play for the maximum possible prize.
b) To participate, contestants need Skype installed. Skype is a great program and is free at www.skype.com
c) Contestants cannot change their answers when they confirm that the answer given is their final answers.
C. Lifelines
There are 3 lifelines that contestants can use during game play.
1. Fifty-fifty (50/50): the contestant asks to eliminate 2 wrong choices (each question has 4 choices).
2. Switch the question: this lifeline becomes available only after the contestant answers the $25,000 question correctly. Once the contestant uses this lifeline, the contestant is locked to the replacement question and cannot return to the original revealed question.
3. Double Dip: this lifeline is only available after the contestant cleared the $100,000 question. By using this lifeline, the contestant can give 2 answers to a question. However, once a contestant elects to use this lifeline, the contestant cannot walk away from the question. Moreover, if the first answer given is correct, the lifeline is still considered to have been used.
D. Prizes
Please understand that this quiz show is to help ESE members to be better at English. There will be no real prizes! Don't be silly!
Prize amounts listed are not cumulative.

Thanks for your interest in this game. We play during class time sometimes, but we don't have a fixed schedule.
