    Talking Pet Peeves :)

What is a pet peeve? (Người đấu tiên có thể dịch từ "Pet Peeve" thành tiếng Việt, GD sẽ thưởng một cái... dịch được rồi sẽ biết)

A pet peeve (or pet hate) is a minor annoyance that can instill great frustration in an individual. (wikipedia)

Pet Peeves are basically things that people DO and SAY that YOU find ANNOYING.
(Pet Peeves là những đều người ta làm và nói mà mình cảm thấy phiền nảo và khó chịu)

Goal: List at least 3 of your pet peeves.
    - Noticed I said "list" and not "write" but you're more than welcome to elaborate on it.

It's always interesting to know what other people find annoying.

    REMEMBER:
This is a "Free Writes" section. Grammar is not important. The purpose of this section is to say whatever is on your mind and share your perspectives. Don't hesitate to input your ideas.
    - Make it relavant.
    - Be considerate of others.
    - Everyone is entitled to their own opinons.

    Default My Paltalk Pet Peeves

Miss Jeedy, I’ve gotta write, I can’t just list. There are so many words in my head that I can’t hold them still. Sowwie

So, here are few of my pet peeves. I know they don’t have to be Paltalk related, but I'd like to vent them here anyway.

First and foremost: pop-up ads. Ok, I understand Paltalk needs to make money. I’ve got to pay the money or to pay the price by suffering through those pop-ups … but does it really have to make noise too? It’s embarrassing when I’m talking with my monotone voice in a room that is full of my good old pals then suddenly, there is a voice from the cyber ghost yelling “Hello … hello … over here.” It sounds as if I am possessed by the fourth evil spirit or something.

OK, Paltalk again. I have a bad habit of reading every post in the room while I’m there. Some people like to use big fonts. Some like small fonts. There are red, blue, green, or purple posts everywhere. It’s fine. I don’t mind, but … DOES SOMEONE REALLY HAVE TO TYPE EVERYTHING IN CAPS? Worse yet, CAPS, UNDERLINED AND BOLDFACED. Give me a break. I’ll read your post. Just don’t make me suffer any further. Mommy … help!

When talking about Paltalk, I can’t stop. What would you think about someone who keeps typing, “I have a question, will you help me?” over and over? Oh my goodness gracious, why don’t they just type out the question? I’m sure that some of us nice people would respond. If we don’t know how to answer, we wouldn’t mind telling them that, “Hey, we don’t know. Go ask Miss Jeedy.”

What’s more? OK, they don’t say “I have a question, will you help me?” Thank goodness, but then, they will type their question over and over and … you know what I mean. And guess what? The exact question is posted every other line. Geez, I’m not Tranglolzzz, but I, too, can type pretty fast. If I know the answer, I would respond too, but … holy cow, every other line? I can't type that fast... I need my Prozac…

Y’all have enough of my whining? Well, let me tell you one more thing then I’ll go to my corner and quỳ trên vỏ sầu riêng.

Now, this is a sensitive one. I’m walking along a thin line. I know. And if y’all don’t agree, please don’t be offended. I believe that the ESE room is a place where one can have fun while studying English. We shall keep it nice, productive, and fun. Joking a bit is welcome. Flirting a little … uh … uhm … may be … acceptable – just may be. Little muahhh here, little hugs there, couple of roses to the gal that you like wouldn’t hurt a fly or ... even ... a soul.

But there are guys who come in and muahhhh everyone on the list, and I mean everyone who has a female looking nick, no matter if he knows them or not. I don’t know if he does, but I highly doubt that. Worse yet, he gets on the mic and starts flirting shamelessly. Calling everybody honey, baby … non stop. I don’t know what you ladies think, but when I heard so, I started to feel sorry for some of us human race having to bear such defect. What’s more? Even after the room’s op stops him, the next time he has the mic, he flirts senselessly again. Holy Shmolly.

    ...

OK. I’m not done but I have talked too much already. I’m going to my corner, but, Miss Jeedy, do I really have to bring vỏ sầu riêng with me?

Hahaha, Handsome. I one-hundred percent, completely, totally, definitely agree with the TEXTCHATTING IN ALL CAPS. There's nothing more bothersome than getting the impression that someone is YELLING AT YOU by TYPING IN ALL CAPS. I mean, emphasizing by CAPitalizing a word or phrase is completely ACCEPTABLE, but is it necessary to SHOUT... espcially when no one can really hear you?

And don't get me started with the Pop-Ups in paltalk. Especially the BANNER. I don't have a green nick, so it makes sense to endure the pain of occasional noises from the Ads & banners, but can they at least make the Ads more APPROPRIATE? I mean, they divide the rooms into three catagories (G, R, A) for a reason. The reason why ESE is a G-rated room is because it is accessible not only to adults but also to minors as well. Can Paltalk at least be more ethical? If they're going to advertise, shouldn't they only show G-rated ADS in G-rated rooms? I mean, am I the only one w/ the sex advertisements and the "Find hot babes in your areas?" Is that tolerable? Worse, they even show nudity in flashes... in FLASHES! Oy... Paltalk oi la` Paltalk. Can't I learn... without having to bear with all the sexual promotions? *note to self: write a complaint letter to paltalk*

No one is perfect & everyone makes mistakes! Pet Peeve: someone w/ a big head. Once you've entered English Sharing Experience, you've subjected yourself to open criticism... more specifically... constructive criticism. No one is perfect and it's perfectly fine to make mistakes. How can you improve your knowledge of the English language if you do not allow yourself to make mistakes and stand corrected. If someone gives you a suggestion, please take it into consideration.

Anyway, when it comes to pet peeves, I have more than enough to list several pages, but let me try to retain myself and list only the crucial ones that I absolutely cannot stand.

Okay, ready? My number ONE pet peeve: Handsome Bear. I'll keep it at that. If I elaborate any further, I might see a "vo sau rieng" flying straight at me.

    I'm not done...

OK. I guess I'll put in my thoughts. First, let me say I'm glad cô Jeedy had suggested 3, because my list would be rather long. After all, I am known to be one of the most difficult men in our easy going ESE room. So I guess I'd simply state my three most pet peeves.

Discouragement! I do not like people that purposely cut others down so he/she can somehow feels better about himself/herself. Negativity is ugly. It makes the others feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, it makes the person with all the negative comments so ... ugly. There's enough uglyness in this world. I will avoid them at all cost. I make a mission to avoid them for those around me also. If I can't avoid them, I'll be the first one to cut them down... the very same way they cut others down. So for those negative people, stay away from me if you know what's good for you. You don't want to start a confrontation with me.

Profanity! I hate profanity. I don't care how good or nice a person is, once a curse word comes out of his/her mouth, he/she had degraded himself/herself. I believe in respect -- others as well as ourselves. Respect yourself first by respecting others. Profanity is expressed when a person's metality is so depraved that s/he has substitute beautiful words with curse words.

"Any ladies here looking for a handsome man, PM me to talk..." I am simply appalled by it. Like, how desperate must you be to come on to Paltalk to "pick up" women? What do you intend to do with them once you pick them up? Is the best you can offer is some very long-distance "voice sex"? And if you're so handsome and are "in heat", wouldn't the nearby bar be sufficient? I guess that's the reason why I don't even ask question before I bounced all those nicks.

*Phew* I can name a few more. But I think I'd stop for now... before my ranting and raving become cô Jeedy's pet peeve.

Pet peeves (you suggested list at least 3 of your pet peeves)

GD, I'm not sure that I can wirte at least 3 but I might try to write two and hope to have more to complete your demand.

Have you ever felt that someone stares at you ? I hate this feeling and if it's true. I don't like it at all. It depends on how this person to stare you and where it's stare at too. Mostly, the stare undresses you or wants you to say what you hide from bottum of your heart. I don't know how to make this person to look at somewhere eles. It pet peeves

I hate when someone or people who lauught at me when I make mitakes or criticize the way I dress. they point out my way and make fun with it. (pet peeves)

When you do something in hiding because you want to be descret and someone points out your secret to everyone, it's pet peeves.

Ihope you could understand what I want to say and please if you can send me a message on Paltalk, tell me the way I can décribe my sentences corectly. I will be happy and thanks in advance.

I hate when I spell incorrectly here because of the Vietnamese accent and I don't know how to do to avoid this mistake
