I took a glance at the pdf entitled 136 essay models. I think it rather interesting as there are many different writing styles and presentations with added Vietnamese translation for individual passages. I personally also like how the new vocabulary from the passages is presented in reference/citation format (I will use this methodology for my own presentation of vocabulary). For beginners who would like to practice reading and writing, this is a good start. I urge people to download the pdf and do not overlook this pdf. I cannot wait to dissect the Vietnamese translation. I'm hoping I'm the last person to download this pdf, and not the first in the forum. Thank you Binh!

Cheers,

I agree that the essays are very good for beginners to be familiar with writing style and simple presentation of an essay. I also like the style of how the essays and translations are presented. However, I finished the pdf awhile back and found quite a few "strange" translations from the pdf. Maybe I'm just a picky reader, but if any ESE member can do a better job in translating those essays, I think it'll be a great source to study. Perhaps a chance for us all to relearn Vietnamese as well.

I am, out of curiosity, wondering what you would be looking for in a sample-essays book. Would you let us know what would be considered suitable? I hope to learn from your expectation and see if I can improve my method.

Thanks.
