I feel that sis Jenna brought the logos (entirely or partially) from someone else and bro JK probably won't like it. He he.

I concur with HC and also vote for #1 if you have not notice my new avatar. :) IP, could we change the color "English Sharing Experience" to red or any color instead of orange because it's hard to read.

Hey guys, I just finished the logo design for our website, please take a look at it and give it some feedbacks.
A little description for the logo, what you see is a picture of a student running with his/her backpack. The picture is based on 3 letters E, S, E. The letter S is the hand and the backpack, the two letter E are the legs.
Remember that the colors can be changed and the background can be transparent if needed. Also, instead of saying "English sharing experience" , we can say something like " Chia se~ va` hoc tieng' Anh mien~ phi' ", ......
What I wanna say in the logo is Student, Learning, Fast :)
So, tell me what you think :)

Hi Andy,
I like it. One of the obstacles I had was the logo dimension vs. the full text for ESE. I think we'd prefer a moderate size, which I think is 250 x 90 pixels. I think this will look best without the full text "English Sharing Experience". However, I am not in the position nor authorization to omit it. Can you reduce the size to the preferred dimension so that we can see better how it will turn out?
Also, if you could try moving the ESE slightly to the lower middle half of the logo; as long as 1/3 of the figure is above the letters ESE, I don't think it'd look like it's hitting the wall.
Thank you so much.
K.

I guess art is great only when it’s understood. After seeing the proposed ESE logos and explanations of the fancy artwork, I thought they were pretty. So pretty, in fact. The designers must have possessed great talent and skills in art, creativity, and imagination. I looked at all of them in awe and with a torrent of admiration.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

However, without proper explanations, I was totally clueless as what the art in these logos represented. What does ESE have to do with a running person? Please pardon my nearsighted eyes, but at first, I thought it was some kinds of Thai or Arabic letters! But artsy it surely is, I must admit. From other proposed logos, why are there hands on the globe? What does the image of people lifting the globe mean to ESE? What is the significance of a snake figure in some of the logos, which I later realized with embarrassment that it was the letter S.

I’ve seen many logos from great big companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Google, etc, that are plain and simple: just the name. Why can’t we do just that? For example, why can’t we use Ms. IP’s logo #1 and remove the glove and the two people pushing the boat? If I dare venturing a bit further, I would remove the line “Chia Se va Hoc Tieng Anh Mien Phi” as well. So, all we have is the underlined English Sharing Experience figure. It might have been a bit simple and boring, but it surely represents ESE one hundred percent.
Here is a collection of Fortune 500 companies' logos. Lots of companies use their names as logos, and they look fine and dandy, not to mention professional: http://www.raizlabs.com/blog/280/fortune-500-logos
Anyway, to the ESE artists @};- :x

--- o0o ---

I reviewed my opinions and noticed that they could be negatively perceived. So, here’s the truth: I’m not at all being sarcastic in any of the descriptions of the logos. I’m just confessing my ignorance in art. Seriously.

_Thanks Clueless for your opinions. To be honest, when designing the logo, what I did was trying to put 3 letters E, S, E into a symbol , hoping that people would know, understand and remember " Who we are" after seeing the logo. So, a running student was what I came up with.
_ " I’ve seen many logos from great big companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Google, etc, that are plain and simple: just the name. Why can’t we do just that? "
This is one of the great ideas when designing a logo. Why? There are three reasons why many companies just want to use the names to be the logos.First, it's a lot easier for people to remember the name of a company. Second, they don't wanna get too much headache when thinking of a symbol for their logo. Finally, they are the people who prefer plain and simple letters than pictures or symbols.
So, if you guys want to make our logo look like those big companies, I would say "agree"
_"I guess art is great only when it’s understood . I was totally clueless as what the art in these logos represented"
When reading this comment, I though about Apple Corps. Then, I googled about the meanings behind their logo. And this is what I found " Steve Jobs( the company founder) had worked during the summer at an apple farm, and admired the Beatles' record label, Apple. He also believed Apples to be the most perfect fruit."What do technology have to do with an apple. To be honest, the explanation about their logo doesn't sound great at all, but in fact, this logo has been highly rated. And personally, I like it :)
_" What does ESE have to do with a running person? " .
Actually, there's not only a running student, but also the big ESE letters on the right side. Again, what I wanted to say in the logo is ESE is the place where students can come to learn the things they want freely . Also, we can understand it like ESE is a friend who is always beside a student on their studying road. :)
Hey guys, I'm not trying to protect my logo design, I just want to give everyone some more description about the logo I made and my opinions about what the logo should be like. If anyone has a new idea of design, I would love to help you out :)
I'm sorry because of taking your time to read my lengthy explanation, and I'm sorry because of my " loan. xa` ngau`" English. :))

ha ha ha... I love to read all of your discussions. I admit that I'm more clueless than anh "clueless". I just enjoy watching ideas bouncing back and forth. Honestly, to me ... Any of them will do. They all beat the "ESE LogoHere" that we have had for a long time now. he he he...
I would even go back and find the original ESE with the water drops created by Doremon ... 5 years ago.
Love to see the artworks. Love to see the creativeness in all your ideas. Love to see the constructive discussions. Personally, I would be happy with whatever logo we vote for the most. We are about to have some official letters. I do believe we should narrow down to one logo soon as it should be on our letterhead.
One more thing... From the heart, the more I get to know what all of you do and can do, the more I am humbled by what I witness. Thank you for sharing your ideas/thoughts/time/creativity/expertise/endurance/perseverance. Thank you.

I'm watching the match between Brazil and North Korea. However, I let my mind wander ...
I like the "ESE" of Andy31. I enjoy "just the name" of thầy Clueless. And I love the hat which I wore on my graduation day. Eureka ... :D
