View Full Version : Can You Raed Tihs?

According to a research at Cambridge University, it need not matter in
what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that
the first and last letter be at the right place. The rest can be a
total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because
the human mind never reads every letter by itself, but the word as a
whole.

Once you're familiar with the English language, you'll be able to read words, even if it is simply misspelled (as long as first letter and last letter be at the right place).

See how well you're able to read the below sentence.

Tihs is to tset yuor aibitly to rceogzine wrdos.

Rewrite it. If you're able to recognize the above sentence, you're good to go. =)

"This is to test your ability to recognize words."

It is somehow true, co^ Jeedy, with the pronunciation of an English word as well. I've noticed that the first sound, the stressed syllables, and the last sound of a word usually make up the whole word.

I guess that's why people say that the Brits are always hungry because they like to swallow syllables when they talk.

:thankyou:
